Instructions for Proper Use of Tweezers

tweezersClean the impaled area with soap and water, dip the tweezers in alcohol to sterilize, grip the splinter with needle points of the tweezers and back it out gently. After working, disinfect area with hydrogen peroxide. If dirt is involved, consult doctor regarding tetanus. To remove ingrown hairs, use the tip of the tweezers to spring out the hair. Then tweeze it gently in the direction of hair growth. Clean tweezers after each use. Keep cap on between uses.

Tweeze in the direction of hair growth and do so after a shower or hot towel to open pores. Use SLANT side for general tweezing. Flip the tweezers to use the high side of the SLANT edge for precision work. When finished, use cold water or astringent to close pores. Caution: Spring tension can be increased by gently pulling the two halves of the tweezers apart. Once you have increased the spring, you cannot decrease it. Do not drop tweezers. This can damage the tip and throw tweezers out the alignment.
